‘Project Gaaguim’ by Rabbi Menachem Amar released a new track in his collection of original and authentic niggunim. Known as “Reb Yehuda Eber Niggun”, it is recorded as Niggun niggun 379 in  in Otzar HaNiggunim Volume 5.

Reb Yehuda Eber HYD served as the Rosh Yeshiva of the Tomchei Temimim yeshivos in Poland and was known for his exceptional musical sensitivity. He was very precise in the notes of niggunim and also composed new melodies himself.

In 5698 (1938), at the directive of the Frierdiker Rebbe, he began teaching Chabad niggunim to his students. In his lessons, he emphasized that alongside accuracy in melody, the bochurim should also know the story behind each niggun.

In the winter of 5700 (1940), he fled with his wife, son, and daughter from the Nazis, and arrived in Riga with the intention of continuing on to the United States, but he did not receive immigration permits.

On 10 Kislev 5702 (1941), the Nazis carried out a massacre, forcing most of the Jews into the Shul and then setting it on fire with everyone inside. It was there that he was killed al kiddush Hashem, may Hashem avenge his blood.

This niggun was recorded from his student, the mashpia Rabbi Moshe Rubin AH.

This niggun is the first single from the upcoming album “Ge’aguim 10,” which is expected to be released in the near future. To date, 87 niggunim have been released by the project.
