Mrs. Rivka Chefer, who selflessly assisted her husband Rabbi Shmuel Chefer in his activities on behalf of the Rebbe, passed away.
Mrs. Rivka Chefer, who selflessly assisted her husband Rabbi Shmuel Chefer in his activities on behalf of the Rebbe, passed away on Sunday, 27 Tishrei, 5782.
She was 90 years old.
Rivka was born to Reb Yosef Chaim and Sonya Rosenblum. Her father was one of the respected Chassidim of Tel Aviv and a founding member of Aguch in Eretz Yisroel, Her mother was a sister of Harav Shmaryahu Gurary, brother-in-law of the Rebbe.
In 5718, she married Rabbi Shmuel Chefer, who at the Rebbe’s behest took over the struggling Beis Rivkah school which he transformed into a successful enterprise.
She devoted herself to assisting her husband in all of his activities on behalf of the Rebbe and Lubavitch.
She was predeceased by her husband R’ Shmuel Chefer, who passed away on Pesach 5780.
She is survived by her children: Rabbi Moshe Chefer – Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Chefer – Kfar Chabad, Mrs. Devorah Shikovtzky, Mrs. Naavah Slonim – Modi’in, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
