A new initiative is aiming to show appreciation for Crown Heights mechanchim by helping ease the burden of the rising cost of living, beginning with a significant discount on kapotas.

ChinuchDeals is dedicated to securing meaningful savings for those working in chinuch. The initiative was launched by local mechanech Rabbi Mendel Niyazov, who says his motivation came from seeing firsthand the financial challenges faced by many educators.

“My passion for chinuch and seeing the financial struggles that mechanchim face is what inspired me,” Niyazov told Anash.org. “Their dedication and the way they devote their lives to chinuch is something that deserves genuine appreciation.”

The initiative is being run entirely on a nonprofit basis, with ChinuchDeals covering expenses out of pocket to make the discounts possible.

For its first offering, ChinuchDeals has partnered with Kapotas NY to provide $100 off all kapotas. The promotion is open to anyone working in the field of chinuch, broadly defined. Eligible participants include principals, classroom teachers, tutors, bus drivers, and others involved in Jewish education.

Niyazov says this is only the beginning.

“ChinuchDeals plans to arrange additional discounts on a regular basis, and we are already working to bring more partners on board,” he told Anash.org.

For now, the initiative is focused on Crown Heights mechanchim, with plans to eventually expand and include mechanchos as well.
