United Lubavitch Yeshiva of Crown Heights has unveiled plans for a major building expansion that will change the landscape of Crown Heights and the face of Crown street.
The walls of the current yeshiva will be expanded to add an incredible 19,848 square feet of space with a brand new addition to their landmark building. A new 5 story addition in front of the current structure will bring it up to the Crown Street property line.
The expansion will add space for 6 new classrooms to accommodate another 100 students. It will also include 3 resource rooms for tutors, and a beautiful new shul for the older grades to daven together.
It will also include a music room, a recreation room, and a staff lounge. To top it all off, the expanded roof will include a state-of-the-art indoor gym with a full-sized basketball court that will double as a multi-purpose auditorium.
“This expansion is monumental and will benefit every single student. Beautiful new classrooms, ample place to play, and proper areas for extracurricular activities will ensure that every student’s mind and body is developing and thriving,” the Yeshiva said.
