A limited supply of covid-19 vaccines have been obtained by Kamin Health – Crown Heights Urgent Care and will be offered to residents who meet the New York State eligibility requirements.

Yosef Hershkop of Kamin Health told Anash.org that the Crown Heights Urgent Care received a limited amount of Moderna covid-19 vaccines.

“At the moment we have a limited supply, but we hope to have many more appointments open up in the near future with the arrival of more vaccines,” he said.

To receive the vaccine in New York, one must meet the eligibility requirements. The most recent update makes all New Yorkers age 60 or above, as well public-facing essential workers from governmental and nonprofit entities, eligible. This includes teachers and in-person instructors.

In addition, any individual with underlying health conditions are eligible to receive a vaccine as well. Among the conditions that make one eligible are a BMI higher than 30 kg/m2, which even applies to people who are slightly overweight from a medical standpoint, but otherwise fit.
