A parade of impressive Lag B’Omer floats was held in Kostanay, Kazakhstan. The parade was held in honor of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, in keeping with the Rebbe’s directive of creating such events.

In addition to the parade, giant puppets of different mitzvos enhanced the atmosphere. Cars adorned with large signs encouraging others to perform the mitzvos in hopes of speedily being Moshiach.

After the parade, a large bonfire was lit and the community danced and enjoyed the evening. The event ended with learning to get everyone in the Shavuos mood and giving tzedakah. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Zalmanov and his family assisted the local Shluchim in making this idea a reality.
