Hundreds of Crown Heights residents and former students gathered for the Levaya for Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm as it passed Mesivta Oholei Torah and 770 Eastern Parkway.

Hundreds of Crown Heights residents and former students gathered for the Levaya for Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm as it passed Mesivta Oholei Torah and 770 Eastern Parkway.

Rabbi Wilhelm was a renowned talmid chochom and author of seforim. For 32 years, he served as menahel of the Mesivta, showing the students a living example of a love for Torah and educating generations of talmidim. Many of his students are now serving as Shluchim, Rabbonim, and members of Anash the world around.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Chana Rivka Wilhelm, his wife, Mrs. Esther Wilhelm, and children, Berele Wilhelm – Los Angeles; Chaim Y. Wilhelm – Crown Heights; Levi Wilhelm – Las Vegas, Nevada; Mendy Wilhelm – Crown Heights; Mushkee Raskin – Montego Bay, Jamaica; Mashee Begun – Crown Heights; Sara Shur – Crown Heights; and Moshe Wilhelm – Crown Heights.

He is also survived by his siblings, Mrs. Leah Fradkin – S. Diego, California; Rabbi Moshe Wilhelm – Portland, Oregon; Rabbi Yisroel Wilhelm – Crown Heights; Mrs. Rochel Lapidus – Buenos Aires, Argentina; Rabbi Nachman Wilhelm – Monsey, NY; Mrs. Chaya Sarah Barber – Crown Heights; Rabbi Zalman Wilhelm – Crown Heights; Rabbi Motty Wilhelm – Toronto, Canada.
