A new interactive tool by Chabad.org allows you to learn Megillah more easily by following along with recordings of R’ Michoel Slavin while the program highlights each word as it is sung, allowing you to go at your own pace.
This is the season when many begin polishing their Megillah-reading abilities so that they can share the mitzvos of Purim with as many people as possible.
For decades, many have used the popular recordings of R’ Michoel Slavin, longtime baal korei in the main minyan in 770.
His definitive recordings have recently been added to Chabad.org’s Megillah Trainer. The tool assists students by highlighting each word as it is sung, allowing them to go at their own pace. Supported on mobile devices and tablets, it is ideal for those learning while on the move.
While the interactive trainer had long offered the voices of Rabbi Chayim B. Alevsky and Rabbi Levi Kaplan, Rabbi Slavin’s recordings have been integrated into both the Megillah trainer and the Torah Trainer, which includes all 54 Torah portions, and their Haftarahs.
