The JLI National Jewish Retreat awarded the Tzedek Award to Mr. Kenneth Roy Feinberg – the Special Master of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund and national expert in creating fair systems of compensation for victims of major terrorism or disaster. He is widely applauded for considering the unique circumstances of victims, and compassionately including their voices in the decision-making process.
Hundreds of attendees watched a mini-documentary depicting headline-grabbing cases in which US governments or major corporations required Mr. Feinberg’s expertise. On his part, Mr. Feinberg lavished praise on the Retreat and the global achievements of the Chabad movement.
