After five years of little to no snowfall in Yerushalayim, a winter storm brought snow to the holy city, delighting children and residents.
The first flecks of snow were greeted with shouts of joy on Wednesday morning, following a thunderstorm accoumpanied by intense winds.
Yerushalayim is preparing for about 10 centimeters of snow, which is also expected to accumulate. In response to the weather, the Jerusalem Municipality has announced to its residents to be on high alert. The municipality has prepared a plan to allow access to essential services if necessary, such as hospitals and coronavirus centers.
