Before Pesach and during Chol HaMoed, dozens of bochurim from mesivtas and zal joined ‘Yeshivas Bein Hazmanim,’ a welcoming space to learn Torah, offering the bochurim the ability to stay connected to their yeshiva environment during bein hazmanim.
This year, tens of bochurim joined the Yeshivas Bein Hazmanim program during their Pesach break, finding a welcoming space to grow in Torah learning and chassidishkeit. Held from 8-12 Nissan and Chol HaMoed Pesach, the program welcomed bochurim from mesivtas and zal, offering them a chance to stay connected to their yeshiva environment during bein hazmanim.
Each day, from 12:15–1:45 PM and 8:15–9:30 PM, tens of bochurim gathered at Shain Shul, with participants from 24 different yeshivas taking part in the program. Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, Rav of Crown Heights, visited after Mincha one afternoon and was truly amazed by their dedication.
Multiple menahelim of yeshivas shared their strong support for this initiative, which we’ve been working closely on together to create a space for learning even during this break period. The atmosphere brought extra chayus, with shiurim by Rabbi Michoel Seligson on “Pesach by the Rebbe” and Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Holtzman on the complex halachot of Sefirat HaOmer.
Bochurim received $10 cash for each seder they attended as encouragement, distributed on Monday, Isru Chag, and many expressed gratitude to the organizers for providing this long-awaited opportunity to deepen their growth and carry the yeshiva spirit home.
We’d like to thank Shain Shul for hosting this program and providing a welcoming place for the bochurim to learn. This success in Crown Heights comes alongside the great success of the program in two other new locations, Montreal and Baltimore.
