It’s been over seven years since Shluchim Rabbi Dovi and Sarale Henig have been active in Chengdu, China.
He’s from Eretz Yisroel and she’s from Brooklyn, so it’s been quite a challenge for the both of them. But language and culture have never been a barrier for shluchim, and neither is red tape or a country that doesn’t recognize religion.
This year, the Henigs managed to acquire the necessary permits for operating a Sukkah Mobile on the streets of Chengdu.
Rabbi Henig and his children are making full use of this new opportunity and is finding Jews all over the capital of southwestern China’s Sichuan province.
