Lemaan Yilmudu’s new ‘Chassanim Academy’ will offer the traditional Halacha and hashkafa components alongside an array of topical workshops by experts in various fields.
Wedding season is here, and more important than the dress, kappota, hall and music are the chosson classes. Embarking on the mission to build a new home may feel overwhelming. In addition to studying the relevant Halacha and Hashkafa, there are so many other areas to prepare for and gain useful knowledge and skills.
Lemaan Yilmudu has set out to streamline chosson classes, offering an all-inclusive program, covering everything everything a new chosson needs to know. The entire course will be taught over a four-day period.
The course was produced in collaboration with Machon Taharas Habayis, under the auspices of the Crown Heights Beis Din.
The primary Taharas Hamishpacha classes will be given by Rabbi Avrohom Hirsh Levin, one of the most popular chosson teachers in Chabad today, known for his clarity, sensitivity and broad knowledge.
Additional workshops on Halacha will be given by Rabbi Sholom Ber Chaikin, veteran chosson teacher and Rov in Cleveland, Ohio; Rabbi Tuvia Kasimov, Rov in Crown Heights and Rabbi Mordechai Farkash, Rov in Seattle, Washington.
The learning material will be supplied to the students in Lemaan Yilmedu’s exclusive textbook. Classes will be interactive and accompanied by multimedia slides for added clarity.
Rabbi Mendel Dubov, author of Shall We Have Another? will present on the joys and importance of bringing more Jewish children into this world, and Rabbi Dovid Bartfeld of Tahareinu will speak about medical and physical challenges that can arise and how to access the proper help.
Shmuel Brand, CPA, will teach the future husbands all about managing their finances, and Yeshaya Kraus from the Shalom Task force will discuss Sholom Bayis.
The program will culminate with an inspirational chassidishe farbrengen with Rabbi Mendel Levin, Mashpia in Yeshiva Mesivta Menachem of Westchester, addressing topics relevant to chassanim today.
Class cohorts will be held monthly at Lemaan Yilmedu’s Brooklyn center.
Register now for the Elul cohort and you will thank yourself that you did!
