In Honor of Gimel Tamuz 5785, 31 Years, and after many conversations with Shluchim who have expressed the need for such a program, Machon Chana is opening a new division, called “Chabad Gap Year”, specifically tailored for girls who spent their high-school years with Chabad Teen Programs (such as CTeen), making a bridge between “CTeen” and “Chabad on Campus”.
Machon Chana, with over fifty years of experience in Jewish Education for Women, has hired Rabbi Sholom Shuchat to direct this new one-year program along with veteran Machon Chana staff under the director, Mrs. Sarah Labkowski.
The program will feature a full-day program of classes and discussions, Farbrengens & Game Nights, Workshops and Volunteer options, Shlichus trips, and visits to the iconic tourist attractions of The Northeast, from Niagara Falls to the Adirondacks, Boston to Baltimore, Washington DC, and more.
For girls from the Northern Hemisphere, the first semester starts in September, and for girls from the Southern Hemisphere, the first semester starts in February.
A generous sponsor has committed to covering all tuition payments for 25 International Students for the first year (girls pay only their airfare), allowing the girls to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
