An Unforgettable Simchas Torah For An Ailing Mother

Lamplighters: Rabbi Yonasan Abrams, shliach at Chabad of Temecula, California took over for the ailing Rabbi Yitzi and his wife, Rebbetzin Dina Hurwitz, both of whom mentored Abrams when he was a young man.

In Episode 9 of Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier, Reporter/Producer Gary Waleik presents the story of Rabbi Yonasan Abrams, a shliach at Chabad of Temecula, California. Abrams and his wife, Netanya, took over for the ailing Rabbi Yitzi and his wife, Rebbetzin Dina Hurwitz, both of whom mentored Abrams when he was a young man. But, for Abrams’ full circle story to be completed, he’d need strength from his mother’s example and a blessing from the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Lamplighters: Stories From Chabad Emissaries On The Jewish Frontier is producing a series of moving, beautifully produced, sound-rich and often surprising stories of Chabad shluchim and the people they inspire in every corner of the world.
