Reb Berel Zaltzman, a veteran chossid, renowned chazzan, and longtime shliach of the Rebbe, who dedicated his life to strengthening Yiddishkeit among Russian-speaking Jews, passed away on Tuesday, 8 Tammuz, at the age of 92.

Reb Berel was widely known as a distinguished baal tefillah and chazzan. At the Rebbe’s repeated encouragement and direct instruction, he served as chazzan on many occasions and brought much joy through his heartfelt davening and niggunim. The Rebbe personally encouraged him to record and release several albums, supporting and guiding him closely throughout the process, including contributing significantly toward production costs.

Here is a collection of videos and photos of Reb Berel singing and performing at the Rebbe’s farbrengens and at Chabad events and concerts around the world, as well as farbrenging with young chassidim.
