This Chanukah, Crown Heights families once again had 6 Car Menorah Parade options to choose from!
This new initiative, by Rabbi Yoel Vogel, gave the opportunity for many more families to be able to participate in spreading the light of Chanukah, by having multiple parades on different nights and locations, and lending out Car Menorahs so that anyone with a car was able to participate!
“It was so special having a car Menorah parade through our streets! What made it even more special, was the fact that Menorah Parades NYC had car Menorahs available to rent, which enabled our local Mekurovim to join as well!” says Rabbi Dovber Bryski of Chabad of Flatbush.
The parades, some of which were newly organized and some of which were held in the previous years, were organized together with the help of local Shluchim, and escorted by their local NYPD Precincts.
“My family participated in three parades this year, and each one was impressively smooth and well-organized”, says C.M.K. from Crown Heights. “We received updates and information throughout, which made the experience seamless. It was truly enjoyable and special to do Pirsumei Nisa in places close by!”
“I joined a Menorah Parade for the first time this year, and it was an incredible experience. There’s nothing like driving through your own neighborhood with a Menorah on your car—it filled me with immense Jewish pride” says Jonathan, a North Williamsburg resident.
The Queens Menorah Parade was organized in conjunction with Rabbi Mendel Scharf of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim and Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Volovik of the Bukharian Jewish Community. The Manhattan Menorah Parade was led by the Mitzvah Tank office under the auspices of Tzach. Rabbi Levi Cohen of Chabad of Sheepshead Bay organized the Sheepshead Bay Menorah Parade, while Rabbi Dovber Brsyki of Chabad of Flatbush coordinated the Flatbush Menorah Parade. In North Brooklyn, the parade was organized by Rabbi Shmuly Lein of Chabad of North Brooklyn and Rabbi Yisroel Nissim of Chabad of Greenpoint. The Boro Park Menorah Parade was organized in conjunction with Beis Menachem and Chabad of Boro Park, with the help of Rabbi Dovy Azoulay and Pinny Banda.
The organizers shared plans to expand this project even more next year!
May we parade together with the Rebbe with the coming of Moshiach Now!
