Two people were killed and four others were wounded – two of them critically – in a Friday shooting attack at the Re’em Junction bus stop in southern Israel.

The victims were transported to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod and the Kaplan Hospital in Rechovot.

One of the murdered victims was identified as 23-year-old Yishai Gertner, a bochur from Modi’in Illit who was heading to learn at Yeshiva Meor HaTalmud in Malachi when he was killed.

The terrorist was shot dead by an armed civilian.

Police say the attacker arrived at the bus stop in a car before opening fire.

A search of the area was underway to ensure no additional terrorists were present.

Prime Minister Netanyahu released a statement saying that they “want to kill us all.”

“I send heartfelt condolences to the families of those who were murdered in the terrorist attack at Re’em Junction, and am praying for the wounded. This attack reminds us that the entire country is on the frontline and that the murderers, who come not only from Gaza, want to kill us all. We will continue to fight until total victory, with all our might, on every front, everywhere, until we restore the security and quiet for all citizens of Israel.”
