Days before heading out to Yeshiva, Talmidim Hashluchim from 30 Yeshivas around the world gathered together at F.R.E.E. of Brighton Beach, for the yearly Kinus Talmidim Hashluchim organized by the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim to be well prepared and inspired for their great undertaking.
Colel Chabad Director Rabbi Sholom Duchman, whom was part of the group of Bochurim that the Rebbe send out to Eretz Yisrael in 5736 addressed the crowd about great zechus and the chayus you receive by being on the Rebbes Shlichus.
The program continued with five veteran Talmidim Hashluchim sharing their experiences on Shlichus and how to make it a success, 5 ideas, each for 5 minutes which was followed by and group photo and a sumptuous dinner.
At dinner, Rabbi Chaim Schapiro Menahel of Tomchei Tmimim Morristown, spoke about the greatness of Halikut which has started its 2nd year, how more than just knowing a Sefer by hear, it also changes a Bochurs outlook in life and makes him more Mekushar to the Rebbe.
A special recording of the Rebbes Yechidus with the first group of Talmidim Hashluchim sent to Melbourne, Australia in 5727 was played.
A review of Vaad Programs throughout the year, Halikut, Yud Shevat programs, Yeshiva Bein Hazmanim and Hanochos were presented by Peretz Garelik, Boruch Ceitlin and Tzvi Alperowitz.
Director of Vaad Hatmimim Rabbi Tzvi Altein thanked all the dedicated staff of the Vaad, who worked tirelessly to make this event, and all Vaad programs a great success.
A special edition of Sefer HaShlichus was distributed when all Shluchim committed to learn the parts relevant to the Talmidim Hashluchim.
