Forty rabbonim of Lubavitcher kehillos in Eretz Yisrael gathered in Ramat Shlomo on Wednesday for a special asifah.
The meeting was called for by the Beis Din Rabbanei Chabad to meet the current challenges facing the rabbonim of the communities in Eretz Yisroel, and to create a forum to allow for communication on these issues. Coming upon 25 years since Gimmel Tammuz, the meeting also aimed to increase the hiskashrus of Eretz Yisroel’s anash.
The gathering was hosted by the Lubavitcher kehillah in Ramat Shlomo, Yerushalayim, under the leadership of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Havlin. The visiting rabbanim enjoyed seeing the beautiful shul there, which is built as a replica of 770.
For close to three hours, ideas were discussed, elder rabbonim shared their expertise with their younger colleagues, and challenges and success stories were presented for all present to learn from.
A decision was reached to have an online forum where all rabbonim can post their questions and challenges and receive advice from many different rabbonim. Ultimately, such a forum will help anash all over Eretz Yisrael.
Each rav was presented with a teshurah compiled by Rabbi Avrohom Shmuel Bukiet of Kfar Chabad. This guide for rabbonim includes all of the Rebbe’s hora’os related to asei lecho rav. In addition, each was given a general overview of the activities of the Halacha Hotline that has seen much success since its founding several years ago.
