Family and friends gathered for a memorial event marking 30 days since the passing of R’ Michal Raskin a”h founder of Raskin’s Fruit store on Kingston Avenue.
The gathering was held Tuesday night at the Jewish Children’s Museum. Speakers told of R’ Michal’s legendary hachnosas orchim and chesed.
Addressing the event was Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, Rabbi Shloime Zarchi, Rabbi Yehoshua Balkany, Rabbi Sholom Duchman, Rabbi Eliezer Laine, Rabbi Getzy Markowitz, and Rabbi Yosef Langer.
Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Rov of the Kosel, delivered greetings by video, and Rabbi Sruli Edelman, son-in-law of R’ Michal, made a Siyum on Mishnayos.

Such an inspirational evening! Such a large crowd! What a man that was able to make a frum life for himself and his family! Imagine that all he thought under the chupa when the Rebbe was mesader kedushim, is to have fume, erlicha, chasidishe children!!!! BH he succeeded!!!!!!!!!
