Mrs. Chavi Goldberg, the mother of a large Lubavitch family, who was a pillar of the Toronto community, and founded Cybersem for continued learning online, passed away on Shabbos, Yud Shvat.

Mrs. Chavi Goldberg, the mother of a large Lubavitch family, who was a pillar of the Toronto community, and founded Cybersem for continued learning online, passed away on Shabbos, Yud Shvat.

She was 69 years old.

Mrs. Goldberg was known in the Toronto community for her tireless dedication and involvement in numerous initiatives. She was instrumental in starting and running the mikvah in the Edinburgh area of Toronto.

A dedicated kallah teacher, Mrs. Goldberg guided and mentored many young women, preparing them for married life. She was involved in Meginei Chana, an organization for teaching and helping couples with shalom bayis.

Recognizing the need for accessible Torah learning, she founded Cybersem, an innovative online seminary that allowed girls to continue their learning from anywhere in the world. She also taught at Beis Chomesh High School in Toronto, influencing countless students with her wisdom and warmth.

Her home was always open, a haven of chesed where guests felt welcome and supported, and she touched the lives of many in the community and beyond.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Chaim Goldberg; and children: R’ Yisroel Goldberg (Rechavia, Jerusalem); Chana Hershkop (Philadelphia, PA); R’ Shmuley Goldberg (Melbourne, Australia); R’ Berel Goldberg (Toronto); R’ Zalman Goldberg (Cleveland, OH); Devora Goldberg (Coral Springs, FL); R’ Yehuda Goldberg (Toronto); Malka Rodal (Phoenix, AZ); R’ Mendel Goldberg (Melbourne, Australia); R’ Baruch Goldberg (East Flatbush, NY); R’ Zushi Goldberg (Toronto); Shayna Grosh (Philadelphia, PA); R’ Moshe Dovid Goldberg (Tel Aviv); Menucha Ossowiecki (Toronto); and many grandchildren.

The levaya will take place on Sunday, 2:30 PM at Beth Joseph Lubavitch – 44 Edinburgh Drive.
Graveside funeral at 3:15 PM at Pardes Shalom Cemetery – 10953 Dufferin Street, Chabad Section.
