Moshe Yitzchok Katz, the son of Mendy and Devorah Katz of New Haven, CT, was killed in a Hezbollah attack in southern Lebanon.

He was 22 years old.

Moshe was a sergeant in the IDF and fell in battle.

His father writes about him that he was “my oldest Son with a zest for life and jokes.” Others who knew him likewise recall him as “a special boy” and “always laughing, full of life.”

He is survived by his parents and siblings.

The levaya will take place on Sunday in Eretz Yisroel.
