Milei to be Honored at Grand Inauguration of Miami Center

The Shul in Bal Harbor will be having an inauguration event for the new expansion of the Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson Center and will honor Argentinian President Javier Milei with the “International Ambassador of the Light” award at the event.

The famous Shul on Collins Avenue in Bal Harbour, led by Rabbi Sholom Lipskar, is having a grand inauguration event on Wednesday for the ambitious extension being built that will host a hall, a library, a preschool, a Hebrew school, and youth lounge. At the event, the president of Argentina, Mr. Javier Milei, will be honored with the “International Ambassador of the Light” award.

The president will receive the award in recognition of “his tireless efforts on behalf of Israel and the global community, honoring his unbreakable dedication to spreading liberty, hope and positive feelings in the face of darkness”. Milie is set to give a speech at the event where he will speak about the plight of the hostages and the urgency to have them released. When Milei won the election earlier this year, he visited the Ohel of the Rebbe. He returned once again, before his inauguration to daven for insight and success in his upcoming leadership.

The Shul in Bal Harbor was founded in 1981 and has grown in size and in peulos ever since, hosting large crowds every Shabbos and supporting the Jewish community in Miami. This massive project will add even more space for the Jewish activities run there, and will have a shul for the Sephardi minyan as well. A new social center, lobby, and gorgeous rooftop promenade with a basketball court, and youth center will support the current members and attract new ones alike, adding to the rich Jewish experience Chabad in Miami provides already.
