The legendary paintings of renowned chassidic artist Zalman Kleinman have now been brought to life through a unique AI animation, vividly portraying authentic chassidic life in Lubavitch of old.
Much of the video focuses on scenes from the month of Tishrei – from the journey to Lubavitch, to the sounding of the shofar, and culminating with the joyous dancing of Simchas Torah.
The project was produced by Zevi Green.

This is really incredible stuff. I wish there was more and that each scene was longer. Thank you.
Can they switch the Mayim shelanu scene for tashlich?
A Chassidishe artist was expressing a lively moment and personal experience in these paintings, why is there a need to “bring life” and “perfect” his expressions by placing motions in the frames?
what’s next? perfecting Niggunim? perfecting emotions?
please leave human paintings for the viewers imagination without making it artificial.

Let’s be clear…AI is a tool. To create these animations a skilled artist has (probably) spent many hours to get these brilliant effects. In the wrong hands AI could also make a big mess of it and produce a souless empty piece of art. AI is kelipas nogah and can be used for kedusha or chas v’sholom kelipa. It doesn’t do anything without a human directing its course.
