Hundreds of members of the Lubavitch community in Montreal, Canada gathered Sunday night to celebrate the completion of another cycle of Rambam study, which coincided with Bais Iyar.

Hundreds of members of the Lubavitch community in Montreal, Canada gathered Sunday night to celebrate the completion of another cycle of Rambam study, and mark the birthday of the Rebbe Maharash on Bais Iyar.
The large siyum was arranged in honor of Shnas Hakhel, which saw the convergence and achdus of all three tracks of Limmud Harambam; the conclusion of the 42nd cycle of learning 3 perakim each day and Sefer Hamitzvos and the 14th cycle of learning 1 perek a day.
The siyum celebration was held at Cong. Chabad Zichron Kedishim headed by shliach Rabbi Ronnie Fine, who introduced the honored guests.
Rabbi Shmuel Shneor, the menahel ruchni of Beis Rivkah, MC’d the event. He invited Rabbi Shmuel Zalmanov to opened the event with reciting the Rebbe’s kapital.
Rabbi Yochanan Wosner, Dayan of the Skver community in Montreal, delivered a dvar Torah and the final halachos of the 42nd Rambam study cycle were completed by Dayan Yonasan Binyomin Weiss, Chief Rabbi of Montreal and the leading Dayan on the Rabbinical Court of Montreal.
Rabbi Meir Elituv, the author of Pardes HaMelech, a groundbreaking work featuring a new English translation of the Mishneh Torah along with the Rebbe’s eye-opening commentary, began the study of the 43rd study cycle and delivered a hadran of the Rebbe.
The guest speaker of the evening was Rabbi Shalom Moshe Paltiel, shliach to Port Washington, NY. He spoke about the importance of daily learning and how fulfilling the Rebbe’s takono is a practical way to connect with the Rebbe.
After his talk, Rabbi Paltiel continued to farbreng with anash and bochurim until the late hours of the night, in honor of the siyum and Bais Iyar.
