In honor of the eightieth anniversary of Chof Ches Sivan, Kehot Publication Society has reprinted the historical Kovetz the Rebbe distributed on this day.
Chof Ches Sivan, the day the Rebbe and Rebbetzin reached the shores of the United States, in 5701 (1941), is greatly cherished by Chasidim worldwide. Escaping the inferno of Nazi-occupied Europe, it was on this day that the Rebbe and Rebbetzin arrived safely in the United States, disembarking the Serpa Pinto. Thus began the Rebbe’s decades-long revolutionary work to revitalize Jewish life in the Western Hemisphere.
In 1991, on the fiftieth anniversary of this special day, the Rebbe surprised Chasidim by distributing a kuntres titled: Kovetz Chof Ches Sivan – Yovel Shanim. This newly-published booklet included Sichos and Maamorim connected to 28 Sivan, and a brief review of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s escape from war-torn Europe, and their safe arrival in America. The Rebbe personally handed out the booklet to men, women, and children.
In honor of the Eightieth anniversary, Kehot Publication Society has reprinted this historical Kovetz. It is now available for purchase in Crown Heights Stores and online at Kehot.com. A bulk discount price of $3.39 per kovetz will be granted for orders of 60 and up. Call Kehos at 718-778-0226 ext. 1.
