Help the Lewin Family As They Face An Unimaginable Tragedy

Levi Lewin, a 16-year-old Lubavitcher bochur who was studying in Yeshivas Tzeirei Hatmimim of Tzfas, passed away suddenly on Tzom Gedalya. Help ease the family’s burden as they deal with this unimaginable tragedy.

Levi Lewin, a 16-year-old Lubavitcher bochur who was studying in Yeshivas Tzeirei Hatmimim of Tzfas, passed away on Monday, 3 Tishrei, Tzom Gedalya, 5784.

Levi was the son of Rabbi Dovid and Devorah Leah, shluchim to Quebec City, Canada.

He was studying in Yeshivas Tzeirei Hatmimim of Tzfas, and had just recently begun his third year there.

“He was a talented and beloved student,” Rabbi Chaim Kaplan, the Yeshiva’s director and Head Shliach to Tzfas, told Anash.org. “He was a studious bochur, who would sit for hours and learn without breaks.”

Levi was known for his love of learning and gaining knowledge in all areas of Torah. He always looked out to help bochurim who needed assistance in their studies, and always had a smile on his face.

He had a special chayus in Ahavas Yisroel, and a good relationship with all types of bochurim. He managed the yeshiva’s library and always endeavored to acquire more seforim to enrich the library.

“Levi had a plan this year to study the entire Keser Shem Tov and to review Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, plans which will now never be completed,” Rabbi Kaplan said.

Levi suffered from a medical issue since childhood. Sunday night, Motzei Rosh Hashanah, there was a medical complication at night and tragically, he passed away.

Please assist his parents, Rabbi Dovid and Devorah Leah Lewin, as they face unexpected crucial expenses during this difficult time.
