Harav Yitzchok Meir Hertz, shliach of the Rebbe and rov and rosh yeshiva in London passed away Friday morning. He was 88 years old.

Born in Tel-Aviv in 5698 to his parents Harav Gedalia, the rosh yeshiva of the Gerrer Yeshiva Chidushei HaRim in Tel-Aviv and his mother Rebbetzin Chana Perel, Harav Hertz came to the Rebbe in Tammuz 5716. From his father’s side he was an eynikel of the Tzaddikim Rebbe Reb Bunim and the Yid Hakadosh of Peshischa, among others. In 5721 he married Rivka Wilhelm from Yerushalayim, and in 5726 was sent on shlichus to London. In recent years he had been suffering from an illness, and this morning he passed away in his home in London.

He is survived by his wife Rivka and his children Avrohom, Bensonhurst, Brooklyn; Feigy Lieberman, Edgware, UK; Baruch, Chicago; Menachem, Edegem, Belgium; and Chaya Rosenbluh; Monsey, NY.

He is also survived by his sisters, Mrs. Shoshana Lieber, Rebbetzin Rivka Silman and Mrs. Shoshana Figa.
