From Community Project to Purim Powerhouse

What started over 20 years ago as a small PTA initiative has grown beyond what anyone imagined, reaching over 2,500 homes across Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Remsen Village, Brownsville, and beyond. Now, Achdus Baskets wants your feedback.

What started over 20 years ago as a small PTA initiative has grown beyond what anyone imagined. Today, Achdus Baskets reach over 2,500 homes across Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Remsen Village, Brownsville, and surrounding neighborhoods, with beautifully prepared Shalach Manos delivered directly to families in time for Purim.

Behind the scenes is a massive operation that takes months of planning. Thousands of items are carefully ordered and packed, with dozens of routes meticulously coordinated. Packages are then hand-delivered by our dedicated block ambassadors, all made possible with the help of our amazing bus drivers.

This year marked a new chapter, as Achdus Basket transitioned from the PTA to the Oholei Torah Development Office. While the team may have changed, the heart of the project remains the same: you.

This is about making it easier for you to give. It’s about making it meaningful, beautiful, and thoughtful. And going forward, it’s about building a system that reflects what you want – because this isn’t just an Oholei Torah project anymore. It’s a community project.

We’re always thinking ahead: how to grow, improve, and better serve the Crown Heights community next year. And we want your voice in that conversation.
