The city of Coral Springs, Florida, recognized Chabad of Coral Springs, presenting them with a statement thanking them for arranging food distributions for those in need.
Chabad of Coral Springs, led by Rabbi Yossi Denberg and Rabbi Avrohom Friedman, has been at the forefront of providing for those in need since the start of the pandemic.
In a private ceremony, the city presented the shluchim with a statement thanking them for their work, and later posted about it on Facebook.
“Under the leadership of Rabbi Friedman, the Chabad of Coral Spring has been operating food drives since the last week of March 2020. They started holding three drive-through distributions weekly, servicing 100-300 cars at each distribution,” they wrote.
“Since July, they switched to weekly food distributions, being able to donate as much as 45,000 lbs of food in a single afternoon. The City of Coral Springs thanks and applauds the efforts of the Chabad of Coral Springs,” they wrote.
