The 40th yahrzeit of renowned chossid Reb Yisroel Noach Belenitsky was marked in Crown Heights with a chassidishe farbrengen.
Reb Yisroel Noach was a prominent mashpia who was known as “Reb Yisroel Noach Hagadol.” In his youth, he learned in Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in Lubavitch, and later served as the menahel of the underground yeshivos in Kremenchuk and Samarkand. After escaping Russia he eventually settled in Brunoy, France, where he served as a mashpia.
Attending the Crown Heights farbrengen were Reb Yisroel Noach’s descendants and students, as well as chassidim who came to hear about the life and impact of the chossid who guided so many others.
