On Tuesday a group of 175 participants journeyed to Campgaw Mountain for a midwinter snow tubing excursion. The trip is an annual project of My Extended Family, the premier organization for children from single-parent homes.
Children who come to the weekly after-school programs at all four branches–Flatbush, Monsey, Far Rockaway, and Crown Heights–were able to meet up and enjoy winter fun together.
“When the children get together, they feel a sense of belonging and community,” said director Rabbi Yossi Vigler.
Everyone involved experienced the thrill of this exhilarating activity.
Chana is a weekly participant in the My Extended Family clubs, where she always has a great time. Standing at the top of the slopes, glowing with excitement and thrill, she told Mrs. Bassi Vigler, “My friends vacationing in Florida have no idea what FUN they are missing!”
