Banquet Concludes Six-Month Likkutei Sichos Study

Hundreds of bochurim who spent six months in intensive study of Likkutei Sichos gathered in Kfar Chabad for a grand siyum, featuring an oral farhrer, talks by mashpiim and rabbonim, a special video production, and raffles for seforim and a flight to the Rebbe.

After six months of intensive study, Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim’s “HaLikkut” mivtza concluded Tuesday night with a major siyum event in Kfar Chabad, drawing hundreds of bochurim from yeshivos across Eretz Yisroel.

The campaign, which focused on in-depth study of Likkutei Sichos volume 21, sparked what organizers described as a genuine revolution in learning the Rebbe’s sichos. Alongside the learning, bochurim produced four full booklets of original haoros on the chelek.

The evening opened with Mincha, during which every participant received a special gift – a Mincha Maariv siddur printed with the mivtza’s logo.

The bochurim then participated in a 35-question interactive quiz using a clicker system, with the top five scorers winning sets of seforim.

The highlight of the evening came next, as the top fifteen took the stage for a public oral farher before a panel of roshei yeshiva and mashpiim, including Rabbi Zusha Alperovich (Tomchei Tmimim Kiryat Gat), Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Belinov (Tomchei Tmimim Kfar Chabad), Rabbi Menachem Dov Dobruskin (Tomchei Tmimim Migdal HaEmek), and Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Segal (Toras Emes).

The farher was followed by a festive seudas mitzva, attended by members of the Beis Din Rabbanei Chabad of Eretz Yisroel, roshei yeshiva, and mashpiim. The keynote address was delivered by Rabbi Yitzchak Goldberg, Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Tmimim Migdal HaEmek.

A special video production featured chassidim describing the Rebbe’s affection for learning Likkutei Sichos – and particularly for writing hearos on them. A summary video then presented the remarkable scope of learning achieved over the six months and acknowledged all those who made it happen.

Then came the moment the crowd had been waiting for. The Chasan HaLikkut was announced: Mendel Cohen of Tomchei Tmimim Kiryat Gat, who received a full set of the Rebbe’s Torah and a flight ticket to the Rebbe. Two runners-up each received a set of Likkutei Sichos and a half ticket to the Rebbe.

“The response we received showed the mivtza exceeded all expectations,” said Vaad director Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kanelsky. “The bochurim were simply overjoyed to have finished an entire chelek of Likkutei Sichos from cover to cover.

The mivtza was coordinated by Mendy Edre’i, with support from shluchim and donors including Rabbi Shmulik Yeshayahu, Rabbi Eliyahu Schlossberg, Keren Meromim, and Rabbi Berel Lazar.
