Last Thursday, a new Sefer Torah was joyfully dedicated at the Chabad House serving the Israeli community in Amsterdam, under the leadership of the shluchim, Rabbi Akiva and Taiby Kamisar.
This special Sefer Torah, donated by many members of the community who care deeply, was written in memory of all the kedoshim who were murdered on October 7th and throughout the war. It was also dedicated in honor of the IDF soldiers and the wounded, and with heartfelt prayers for the safe return of all the hostages.
It was deeply moving to march through the streets of the city with visible Jewish pride, as the event was secured by police forces.
Hundreds of members of the Jewish and Israeli communities participated in the event, along with rabbonim and shluchim from across the Netherlands and other countries who traveled especially to attend this historic occasion.
