Zalman Rosenbloom, a longtime resident and active community member of the Chabad communities in Los Angeles, California, passed away on the 26th of Teves. His kevurah will take place today.
He was 75 years old.
Zalman’s life was not an easy one, having had polio as a child. He rose above his challenges and was self-sufficient and worked at an aerospace company.
He also entertained as a comedian and taught, and also coached basketball, for a number of years, at Cheder Menachem.
He fought his recent health challenges with valor and returned his Neshoma to Hashem on the 26th of Teves.
He was predeceased by his parents and his twin-brother.
The Kevruah will be today at 2:30 PM at Chabad Mount Olive Memorial Park 7231 Slauson Ave, Commerce, CA

Zalman’s birth name was Sidney S. Rosenbloom. His identical twin was Fred J. Rosenbloom who passed away on June 30, 2022. They are survived by a younger sister.
Sid was the first sit-down comedian in NYC in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was smart, funny, and talented.
