A farbrengen in Tzemach Tzedek Shul in Yerushalayim marked the second yahrzeit of Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik, the Rebbe’s shliach to Milan, Italy.
Rabbi Garelik, who passed away on Rosh Chodesh Adar of 5781, served as the shliach and rov of Milan, Italy for over 60 years. He built an empire of shlichus in Italy, establishing tens of mosdos and bringing thousands back to Yiddishkeit. He also was the founder of Merkos Rabbonei Europe.
The gathering was led by sons Rabbi Yosef Garelik, Rabbi Moshe Garelik, son-in-law Rabbi Yisroel Greenberg, and grandchildren.
The farbrengen was also joined by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Ahronov, director of Tzach in Eretz Yisroel, Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen, Head Shliach to Kazakstan, and others.
