Three Months After Near Death, Shliach Celebrates Miraclous Recovery
Three months after near death and a miraculous return to life against all odds, Rabbi Pinchas Pizem, shliach and assistant principal of Cheder Chabad in the Krayot, celebrated a joyous Seudas Hoda’a.
Three months after a dramatic medical crisis in which he returned to life against all odds, Rabbi Pinchas Pizem, shliach and sgan menahel of Cheder Chabad ‘Tzivos Menachem’ in Chaifa and the Krayot, celebrated a Seudas Hoda’a. Family members, staff of the Talmud Torah, community rabbonim, and senior doctors gathered on his birthday to thank Hashem for the open miracle.
As previously reported, Rabbi Pizem suffered sudden cardiac arrest, underwent open-heart surgery, and endured three resuscitations. Many across the globe davened for his immediate recovery. His incredible recovery was nothing short of a miracle.
Distinguished rabbonim graced the event, including his father, Harav Yosef Avraham Pizem, Rav of the Chabad community in Kiryat Shmuel, and Rosh Yeshiva of the Krayot Yeshiva; Harav Chaim Shlomo Diskin, shliach and Rov of the Chabad community in Kiryat Ata; Harav Dovid Meir Drukman, Rav of the Krayot Chabad community and Rav of Kiryat Motzkin; Rabbi Leibel Schildkraut, Head Shliach to Chaifa and director of the Mosdos; and Rabbi Naftali Perlstein, shliach in Montreal and Rabbi Pizem’s uncle.
In a special tribute, the senior medical team from Rambam Medical Center, who treated him with devotion – Professor Gideon Sahar and Dr. Majed Makhoul – joined the gathering to thank Hashem for the great nes.
During the evening, a moving documentary was screened, chronicling the dramatic events leading up to his miraculous discharge.
