The levaya of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, the Rebbe’s shliach to Abu Dhabi who was murdered last Thursday, will be held tonight, Monday, in Kfar Chabad, in front of the 770 building, at 10:00 PM Israel Standard Time.
Rabbi Zvi Kogan, the shliach of Abu Dhabi, UAE, who was tragically murdered by terrorists after being abducted in Dubai on Thursday afternoon, is being transported to Eretz Yisroel for burial.
Kogan, a dual Israeli-Moldovan citizen, worked together with other shluchim for several years to establish and expand Jewish life in the Emirates. Among their many achievements were the founding of the first Jewish education center in the Gulf and making kosher food widely available. Kogan was joined by his wife, Rivky, after their marriage in 2022.
After he went missing on Wednesday, it took the authorities three full days to find his body, which was found near his abandoned car in a city 150 miles away from Abu Dhabi.
Rabbi Kogan’s levaya is expected to attract thousands, with many prominent rabbonim, members of his family, and high-profile figures.
The levaya will make its way from Kfar Chabad to Har HaZeisim, where he will be buried.
The public is encouraged to learn Mishnayos in his memory. You can participate by taking on Mishnayos by clicking here.
