The joy was palpable in the office of Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz as he was presented with the 42nd and final volume of the Noé Edition Koren Talmud Bavli. CEO of Koren Publishers Matthew Miller and Rabbi Meni Even Israel, CEO of Steinsaltz Center, presented the new sefer to Rabbi Steinsaltz.
Rabbi Steinsaltz first began his groundbreaking project of translating the entire Shas into English in 1965 and completed it in 2010. In 2012, together with Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb and Koren Publishers, he began a new project. Each volume was re-released with full-color illustrations, nekudos, and the notes and commentary that enhance one’s understanding and appreciation of the time in which the Gemara was written.
