He was 93 years old.
R’ Yisroel was born in Poland in 5692 (1932). After World War II, he, like many chassidishe families, moved with his family to the displaced persons camp in Poking, Germany, where he joined the local Tomchei Tmimim yeshiva. He later continued his studies in Paris and in Tel Aviv.
In Eretz Yisroel, he married his wife, Basya Devorah, and they settled in Kfar Chabad.
He leaves behind a distinguished family – sons, daughters, and hundreds of descendants – many of whom serve as the Rebbe’s shluchim and mechanchim.
He is survived by children: Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Naparstek – Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Boruch Naparstek – Crown Heights, Rabbi Shlomo Neprastak – Crown Heights, Leah Moskowitz – Chicago, Yehudis Lasker – Kfar Chabad, and Stery Green – Eretz Yisroel.
He was predeceased by his wife, Basya Devorah Neprastak, who passed away in 5761 (2001), and by his daughter, Chaya Gittel Borgen of Kfar Chabad, who passed away in Tammuz 5783 (2023).
He is also survived by his siblings: Rabbi Yechiel Naparstek – Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Yechezkel Naparstek – Paris, Mrs. Henya Weinberg of Vancouver, and Mrs. Golda Golowinsky – Crown Heights. His brother, the mashpia Rabbi Moshe Neprastak, passed away in 5776.
The levaya will begin following the fast, at 9:30 PM, from his home in Kfar Chabad. It will pass by local shuls, and continue to kevura in the Chabad chelka on Har HaMenuchos.
Baruch dayan Haemes
