After seeing the PowerPoint Sicha presentations on Anash.org, the organizers of Project Likkutei Sichos arranged with Rabbi Chananya Hoffinger to continue for the next 8 years. Plus: 4 Crown Heights shiurim launched.
When Project Likkutei Sichos was launched a few weeks ago, the organizers lost no time in looking for resources to help facilitate the weekly study. Almost immediately, they remembered a popular Anash.org feature: PowerPoint Sicha.
Rabbi Chananya Hoffinger is the creator and developer of the Gemara Academy method and curriculum. Chananya has 7 years of experience teaching Gemara and experienced firsthand the difficulties that arise when learning and teaching Gemara.
Earlier this year, Rabbi Hoffinger realized that the very same methods could be applied to Likkutei Sichos, simplifying the sicha, and making accessible to anyone who so desires. Wanting to reach the furthest audience possible, he knew he had one place to turn: Anash.org. The presentations became popular quickly, with many reaching out to Rabbi Hoffinger and Anash.org to say how they got a new enjoyment in learning, and to request that week’s sicha.
When Project Likkutei Sichos started their look for resources to help the weekly study of sichos, it did not take long for them to remember the popular presentations. They contacted Rabbi Hoffinger, and a deal was arranged to have him continue for the entire 8-year cycle!
“They told me that they had seen the weekly sichos on Anash.org,” Rabbi Hoffinger related in a conversation with the editors, “and realized it would be a great asset to the project.
The PowerPoint Sicha will continue to be featured on Anash.org, on Sundays, and will follow the study schedule set up by PLS.
