The niggun “Yaaleh Tachanuneinu” was composed by Reb Shalom Charitonov AH of Nikolayev. This nigun does not appear in the Sefer HaNigunim.
“A nigun is not a matter of understanding and comprehension, but the virtue of a nigun is that it touches the emotion in the heart. When the nigun is sung properly, it is connected with the innermost feelings of the heart, meaning not only the external emotions but also the inner emotions – the inner emotions and even the innermost heart that is beyond intellect. Therefore, it has the power to resolve a difficulty that exists in the intellect.” (The Rebbe, Purim 5720)
