Over the past few months, Bochurim in Yeshivos across the world have been learning Chelek Lamed of Likkutei Sichos; Finalists for the closing test in New York were announced.
After 12 intense weeks of learning, 255 pages of Likkutei Sichos were memorized, and over 300 Bochurim will be invited to the sixth Halikut Siyum where they will be tested on the full sefer of Chelek Lamed Likkutei Sichos.
The Halikut program, with Bochurim in 20 Yeshivas across the world learning and reviewing the Sichos in their free time, has raised the bar for Likkutei Sichos learning among thousands of Bochurim, through its intense learning regimen and scrutinizing tests.
The series of tests, the last of which took place last week, will culminate in a final test in New York for those who passed all three tests in their respective Yeshivos.
After the test, the bochurim who receive the top marks will take part in a Chidon and be tested orally on stage by the Chozrim who originally wrote the sichos, demonstrating the incredible knowledge of these sichos gleaned in the past few months. The winner will receive all of the Rebbe’s printed torah.
The program will end off with a grand banquet and Siyum on Chelek Lamed, and awards and prizes will be handed out to the bochurim who passed the test.
Halikut is a program of Vaad Hatmimim under the direction of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Altein, and led by Mendel Gopin.
