A new curriculum released by Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus and JEM highlights the role of a Rebbe and the mission of Dor Hashvi’i.
As we prepare to mark twenty-five years since Gimmel Tammuz, teachers and educators are seeking ways to teach their students about the Rebbe, hiskashrus, and how to fulfill our generation’s unique mission. For many educators, finding age-appropriate methods to impart these fundamental ideas can prove challenging.
In recent years, Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus, has partnered with JEM in providing schools with curriculums for chassidishe yemei d’pagra. A dedicated team has spent time researching the history and meaning of each day and consulting with mechanchim on effective ways to bring it alive in through an interactive presentation that children can relate to. These curricula have been translated into French and Hebrew, and introduced to thousands of students in over 120 schools worldwide.
The two organizations are now set to release a three-part curriculum under the title “Dor Hashvi’i: Our Rebbe. Our Mission. Our Connection”. With this project, they aim to bring alive the role of the Nasi Hador, the mission with which every one of us has been tasked, and the tools available to us to foster a personal and meaningful connection with our Rebbe.
The multi-media curriculum utilizes animated videos, powerpoint presentations, interactive activities and special video collages of the Rebbe. Each segment is presented in an engaging manner, providing a most dynamic learning experience.
