Three mosdos in Montreal coordinated a grand rally for all the local children to join together in tefilos for Eretz Yisroel.
Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch, Beth Rivkah, Anshei Lubavitch, and Yagdil Torah coordinated and arranged a special rally geared for children to help our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel.
The Rebbe taught us that the Torah Tefila and Tzedaka of children have a special power to battle negativity, quoting the posuk from Tehillim chapter eight.
“Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have established strength because of Your adversaries, in order to put an end to enemy and avenger.”
Rabbi Minkowitz, the princapal of Beis Rivka, who is currently in Eretz Yisroel, shared the following message:
“50 years ago, on the 13th of Tishrei, a few days after the Yom Kippur war started, the Rebbe had a special Farbrengen.
“The Rebbe mentioned then that “Since it’s in the days that we don’t say Tachnun, until the end of Tishriei the segula of these days is that requests that are normally fulfilled by saying tachnun, is accomplished by not saying tachnun and being b’simcha. So it’s understood that the way to help in this time, is through simcha, and simcha breaks barriers שמחה פורץ גדר.”
The Rebbe also mentioned at that Farbrengen, that an entire summer he was constantly speaking about:
מפי עוללים ויונקים יסדת עוז גו׳ להשבית אויב ומתנקם
The Rebbe added “What pushed me to speak about this? But it’s like it says ניבא, ואינו יודע מה ניבא – there are things which are done without knowing what is the goal, and later on we realize how it was a דבר בעתו “!
Many hachlatos were taken by the boys and girls.
The children heard of miracles expienced by Rabbi Gili and Chanie Shpindler originally from Montreal, who now live in Eretz Yisroel.
A highlight, was when everyone sang: ” It Happened Yom Kipur” echoing the message that the soldiers in Eretz Yisroel, and ourselves need to have tremendous emunah and bitachan and strengthen our Torah and Tefilla during these times.
The event was MC’d by Rabbi Nochum Greenwald.
Live Niggunim was played by Isaac Russ.
A very big thank you goes to Rabbi Mendy and Mrs. Shterni Rosenfeld, Meir Kirshenbaum, Levi Treitel and Shalom Gniwish for arranging all the logistics, and Shaya Feldman for the security.
