Montana Shliach Rabbi Shneur Wolf was on a hike at Logan’s Pass in Glacier National Park when a fellow hiker called out to him.
“Suddenly I hear ‘Heeey, Shalom Rabbi!’ from close by,” Rabbi Wolf told Anash.org
Having brought his Tefillin, Rabbi Wolf offered the hiker, who introduced himself as Nadav, to put them on and he gladly agreed. Nadav wrapped the tefillin around his arm and head and said Shema while the breathtaking glaciers shadowed over them.
“He told me he was from Chicago, a city I know quite a bit, having lived there for the first part of my life,” Rabbi Wolf chuckled. “Being already excited just to meet another Yid, the Chicago connection only made him happier.”
Rabbi Wolf said that he invited him for Shabbos, and is hoping to see him show up.
