As the virtual Kinus Hashluchos inches closer, the Vaad Hakinus announced this year’s theme, as well as several exciting updates and highlights for this year’s Kinus.

In a letter sent to shluchos last month, the Vaad Hakinus announced that this year’s Kinus Hashluchos would be taking place fully online, in a similar format to the Kinus Hashluchim earlier this year.

“It is increasingly evident that we will not be permitted to have any sizeable gatherings in New York in the foreseeable future. Therefore, this year’s Kinus will be entirely virtual,” they wrote at the time.

In a second update sent this week, they Vaad informed the shluchos of several features of this year’s kinnus.

“We are pleased to share this year’s Kinus theme. “און איך זאג לכתחילה אריבער”. This quote from the Rebbe Maharash will provide us with the strength and encouragement to face this year’s unique complexities,” they wrote. “The theme will be addressed throughout the weekend, with each day’s events focusing on a different variant of the theme.”

Each day of the Kinus will focus focusing on a different variant of the theme, with Thursday, 22 Shevat, yom hilula of the Rebbetzin, focusing on “The Rebbetzin our Queen”, expounding how she extended herself to her father, husband and chassidim.

In addition, the Vaad announced that a “novel highlight” of this year’s kinus would be a 24-hour ongoing virtual farbrengen with shluchos around the world.

“We are pleased to announce that the Kinus will feature a 24-hour Farbrengen Room. You can Farbreng at any time, morning or evening, night or day. Inspirational stories will be shared and discussions will be continuous,” they wrote.

“Shluchos can have heart-to-heart talks about sensitive issues, as they will remain confidential. The room will host veteran Shluchos facilitators who will help direct the conversations and Farbrengens. When you visit the room you are most certainly welcome to ask questions, offer advice, share practical ideas, relate inspiring stories or just schmooze with fellow Shluchos. This will allow for you to grant or glean inspiration,” they wrote.
