Hundreds of Anash and bochurim gathered in 770 Tuesday night for a farbrengen celebrating the Alter Rebbe’s release from Czarist prison, beginning a new era in spreading the wellsprings of Chassidus.

The farbrengen began with the launch of Chalukas HaShas and an address by the Mara D’asra, Harav Yosef Yeshaya Braun. Followed by Rabbi Michoel Golomb who taught a ma’amar of the Rebbe.

The farbrengen was then addressed by Rabbi Eliyahu Dovid Borenstein (Bologna, Italy), Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Weingarten (Grand Rapids, MI), Rabbi Itche Mishulovin, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Raskin, and Rabbi Avraham Rainitz. The MC was Rabbi Nissim Lagziel.

Following the official program, a crowd dispersed into smaller farbrengens, continuing throughout the night.
