Global Study Initiative Launched for Yud Shvat

In commemoration of the 70 years milestone since the Rebbe’s first Maamar, Basi Legani 5711, Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus is launching a unique global project of the study of the Maamar.

Chassidim worldwide are in the midst of preparations of all sorts for Yud Shevat, the day the Rebbe assumed his leadership.

In commemoration of the 70 years milestone since the Rebbe’s first Maamar, Basi Legani 5711, the foundational Maamar of Dor Hashvi’i, Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus is launching a unique global project of the study of the Maamar.

This initiative, starting this Sunday, will include a series of captivating shiurim – in both Hebrew and English – in the Maamar, as well as the publication of many resources and materials on the Maamar.

The Vaad will be launching a website dedicated to the Maamar study, on which various shiurim on the Maamar will be available, in different languages and study levels. The site also organizes the many materials that have been published on the Maamar, including study aids, commentaries, and overviews.

In addition to the website, starting Sunday, the Vaad will hold a series of daily Zoom-shiurim, in English and Hebrew.

The English shiurim will be presented by Rabbi Moishe New of the Montreal Torah Center, for half an hour each evening, 8:30-9:00 PM EST. The shiurim will be in a flowing, easy-to-understand format, and interactive, via Zoom, enabling participants to ask questions.

In parallel to the English shiurim, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Kuperman will be giving nightly shiurim in Hebrew, from 8:30 to 9:00 PM Israel time.
